Actively supporting health and education, our friends at WBO funded a clean water and sanitation project at the Merasi School in 2015. Thanks to a water tank that sits proudly atop the school building, the Merasi children for the very first time have access to clean drinking water.
WBO has also generously donated books to the Merasi library for years. Their love for books has propelled the Merasi Library from a simple trunk to a room stacked with colorful titles, igniting the tool of self-advocacy along the way.
FAR joined hands with Pratham Books, India’s largest NGO, to celebrate the joy of reading. The first ever Donate-a-thon campaign in 2015 helped put bilingual books in the hands of little Merasi bookworms.
With a vision of an economically, socially and culturally vibrant India, NSF has sponsored five annual trips to Mumbai for the Merasi youth from 2012-2016. A trip that involves remarkable performances in schools and sightseeing, it expands youth frontiers to the world and is one of the most awaited times of the year for the Merasi.
